A letter to our customers...

Like everyone else, I have been following the news and have concerns over the Coronavirus. I have been actively monitoring industry briefings and advice on how to deal with the situation. Here is what's happening at Areté. 

  • The CDC has released this official statement: “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools or hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.” Additionally, Dr. Roy Vore, a microbial physiologist with the CDC, specializing in the management of recreational waters and the safety and efficacy of float tank systems has stated that the Corona Virus “is not spread in water, such as float water”.

  • We have always ensured the highest cleaning standards in the studio and will continue to do so.  In addition to our current cleaning & sanitizing schedule we have always done (between each customer, using CDC/ EPA approved cleaners/ disinfectants), we're ramping it up by hitting all light switches, doors, and any other things you all may use. We now have hand sanitizer (62% alcohol) available to you when you enter/exit the shop and that we'll ask you to use before shopping our thoughtful retail products.

  • With regards to the float tank, our pod has always used Ozone & UV along side the commercial grade filter to clean, sanitize, and disinfect between each session.   We'd be remiss not mention the 1000 pounds of salt alone helps kill the bad bugs as well! So there's no need to worry the pod isn't safe for your moments of zen that I'm sure are much needed right now! 

  • If you have even the slightest of symptoms, do NOT come for your appointment. While our modalities can help boost your immune system, if you already have a bug, you can't be "cured" so please, stay home!  We're relaxing our 24 hr cancellation policy to help ease any worry over being charged for last minute rescheduling. Moving forward however, we will have a zero tolerance for no shows.  Please give us the respect of a timely cancelation. 

  • We will be reducing our hours of operation until further notice.  If you are coming in for retail items, please call ahead to make sure we are open. Allow us to collect items for you and if you do pick up/ touch something, place it on our center table so it can be properly sanitized. 

As a small, wellness business, we take pride in the cleanliness of the studio, in keeping customers safe & calm, now and always.  Given that we have very few people in the studio at a time and our ability to deeply clean between each person, we hope we'll still receive your continued presence & confidence.
