What is Floating?
FLOATING is a relaxation and therapeutic technique that involves restricting sensory input to achieve a deepened meditative or heightened flow state. You lie in a pod with approximately 12 inches of water with around 1000 pounds of Epsom salts dissolved in. The density that results from this mixture makes you effortlessly buoyant, allowing you to simply lay down and float.
The water is the same temperature as your body, about 95 degrees, so you can't discern where your skin meets water. Creating a space where the feeling of nothingness begins and your worries end.
