First Time?

Float tank, Floatation Therapy, Sensory Deprivation
As a new floater this is what you can expect...

Upon arrival and settling, we'll look over your waiver (please fill out prior to your arrival) and chat with you about any questions.  Then, one of our staff members will walk you through a short orientation with information about floating and how to enjoy your experience best as possible.  During this time, feel free to ask any questions about floating you might have.  Your comfort is of the utmost importance to us!  Afterward the brief walk through, you'll shower in your private room, you must be 100% clean prior to entering the pod.  Towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, ear plugs, and ointment to cover up small scratches will be provided for your comfort.  Once you've got all those boxes checked off your to do list, you can then slip into the calming nothingness and float away your distractions!

Once your session is over, music will fade in letting you know it's time to slowly exit the tank. Before exiting the pod, make sure you are as dry as possible, you don't want to be dripping with salt when you hop in the shower.  As mentioned before, we provide shampoo, conditioner, body-wash, and lotions to help cap your unique experience with lush treatments.  Once you have showered and dressed, feel free to do any extra primping in our prep room.  We provide a hair dryer, lotions and potions for you to enjoy.  Certainly feel free to bring any products with you that you want to use after your session.  Once you're ready, take time to relax in the Oasis Room.  Enjoy a cup of tea, browse through our book collection, write in our guest book, or just relax before heading back into the hustle and bustle of the world.

Take all the time you need to sink into and enjoy your post float glow!

There's no rush to leave Areté!

If you're new to floating, we recommend that you plan for three float sessions, scheduled no more than one month apart. Although there are many exceptions, generally it can take up to 3 floats to receive the full benefits of floating and get accustomed to the process. We offer a couple options to help reduce the cost of multiple float sessions so you get the most out of your dollars, just ask!
